page, inspired by Frida Kahlo
Age Range: 4th – 12th grade
Activity Summary: Frida Kahlo is a well known artist the world over. She has chronicled her striking life experiences in stunning self portraits and in reflective writing. Take an opportunity for self discovery as you explore ways to capture your life experiences. Create a self portrait in collage or drawing. Or, write and embellish a journal page. There will be time for sharing your discoveries.
Objectives: - Learn a brief history of the life of Frida Kahlo through pictures of her paintings and writings
- Respond to the About My Life questionnaire.
- Create a self portrait using collage, drawing and/or the written word for self expression
